Hello! Just saw Tales from the End Season 3 Episode 3! I like the way you made the city part of the battle here and it was cool to see Mechagodzilla back. Also, was the Imoogi's battle with the not-Gotengo (there is actually a human-controlled spaceship shaped like the Gotengo called the Gohten which appeared in the Toho movies which you could name that ship after (if it ever comes back)) a reference to Manda's conflicts with the Gotengo?
I'm glad you enjoyed it. And yeah, the Imoogi and the erzats-Gotengo is a reference to how most people assumed the Imoogi was Manda.
As for the city being part of the battle, that was kinda the core of what i wanted with this season. It's essentially a reimagining of MechaGodzilla City from the anime trilogy. I really like the idea of a city that actually fights back against Godzilla, and wanted to do my own take on it.
Ok. I must say, you did the Mechagodzilla City concept far better than the Anime Trilogy ever could 😂
Yeah, seemed like the anime trilogy was full really interesting ideas that weren't utilized properly.

Hello! Just saw Tales from the End Season 3 Episode 2! I was not expecting to see the Imoogi again! Interesting twist with Cernnunos. Is the giant drill ship captained by the aliens meant to be a reference to the Gotengo?
Hi! Yup, it isn't indeed meant to be like the Gotengo. I needed a bigger ship that would stand out next to the others, and nothing stands out like a giant drill.
